Born in McKinney, Texas. I was there until I was 4 years old and moved to Detroit , Michigan. I’ve attended Cesar Chavez Acadamy for my whole academic career and am currently a high school freshman at Cesar Chavez Academy High School.
I began wrestling after one of my friends asked me to come to one of Coach Mike Futrell’s practices that he hosted at Patton Park. I had never experienced such a physically demanding sport and it was a completely new thing to me. The competitiveness and discipline in this sport have taught me what I’m most grateful for. I’m thankful for all my coaches who have helped me improve throughout my first year as a high school wrestler. I am glad to be able to participate in this amazing sport, It has also opened me to new doors of opportunity and has led me to greet new people and friends.
Wrestling has left an impact on my life and has made my whole year a special one. My Days would be so mundane and boring the same thing over and over again. Now wrestling IS the best part of my day, it is the tournaments, the discipline, and the glory that makes me come back for more. I’m grateful for what this sport has taught me and I’m excited to see how I evolve over the next few years of my wrestling journey.
